The Albert

Albert ball

The Albert is the official ball of the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The name for this ball was determined through an open vote. As a result, the name “Albert” was chosen from 120 thousand other options. The color scheme of the Albert matches the official 2012 Olympics color scheme. This light ball with muted colors contrasts strongly with the previous bright red Olympic ball.

The construction of the Albert does not differ from the construction of Adidas Tango 12 and other balls created using this technology. Like any other Olympic ball, the Albert is a rarity.
